VCK protests WAQF amendment in Kottakuppam

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) held a protest in Kottakuppam on Tuesday, demanding the withdrawal of the WAQF (Amendment) Act after the bill was recently passed in two houses in Parliament.

Party cadres of the Frurupulam parliament member D. Ravikumar participated in the protest, which condemned the protests of the BJP government pushing the amendment at the centre, ignoring widespread opposition from Muslim groups and political parties.

Ravikumar claims that the WAQF (Amendment) Act (WAQF (Amendment) Act violates national unity, and he claims that the coalition government that does not interfere in property affairs of other religious groups is actively interfering in the affairs of the WAQF board of directors.
