Two children died, and more than a dozen sick in Lucknow recovery

The incident sparked an investigation by local authorities.

The Lucknow District Magistrates Judge formed a committee to determine the cause of the so-called food poisoning. Officials from the health and food safety department visited the hospital to interview affected children.

“Officers from the health and food safety department arrived at the hospital. These officials also questioned the children’s admission,” a government official said.

Food samples have been collected from the rehabilitation center.

“A team from the health department and food safety department arrived at the rehabilitation center and adopted the food sample. Action will be taken based on the investigation report,” an official source said.

According to district probation officer Vikas Singh, the center has 147 children, mainly orphans and mentally challenged children.
