Vance and his family will be chaired by the Prime Minister on Monday night. Modi met with Vance in Paris before the Modi-Trump Summit in Paris on February 11.
Among other issues, the two leaders discussed the U.S. involvement in India’s nuclear energy sector. Monday’s discussion will also focus on the date of the Four Summits, which will be held by India this fall.
Vance visited with his spouse Usha Vance, whose children demonstrated not only his personal connection to India, but also his commitment to the development of India-US connections.
Experts in American politics point out that Vance is committed to Trump and is one of the most powerful U.S. vice presidents in recent decades, keen on stamping. Prior to India, his visit to Rome showed that the Trump administration focused on Italy as the center of power in Europe. At the Munich Security Conference, Vance sent a difficult message to Europe. From April 23, Indian and U.S. officials will hold three-day talks on the Reference Terms (TORS), covering about 19 chapters, such as tariffs, non-Talif barriers and the Customs Promotion Trade Commission, to end trade pact. Under the promise of a trade deal reached this fall, the U.S. proposed selling F35 fighter jets, increasing U.S. fossil fuel volumes to India, building U.S.-designed nuclear reactors, and strengthening cooperation on Terorrism.
