NTR regional collector G. Lakshmisha assured farmers on April 13 (April 13) that each pardi will be purchased during the Rabi 2024-25 season and there is no need to worry about it.
He visited the Bund area of the Polavaram Canal and inspected the rice fields, looked at the moisture content in the grains, and checked the process of loading stocks onto trucks and transporting them to the factory.
Collectors said other vans have been arranged to move the entire stock to the factory on Monday night. Mr. Lakshmisha had a conference call with officials from civil supplies, income, agriculture and other sectors and issued instructions to ensure that farmers do not face any trouble.
The total rice field production capacity in the region is estimated to be 1,66,470 tons, and so far 38,667 metric tons of cereals have been collected. Collectors say 9,223 tons of them are worth Rs 1,881 crore, which have been sourced from 601 farmers and have deposited the money into the farmers’ accounts within 24 hours.
The collector says that an average of 900-1,100 tons of rice grains are sourced every day to 107 Rythu Seva Kendras (RSK) throughout the region.
Collectors say there is a special control room at the district level where farmers can call 77020 03571 for assistance with rice field procurement.
