Will the IPL be cancelled in the India-Pakistan War? This is what we know

BCCI sources said the current situation will not have any impact on IPL scheduling and competitions and will proceed as planned.
The 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently scheduled to last from May 25 to May 25.
This is the development following the success of the Indian Armed Forces in the implementation of the tension between the Indian Armed Forces and the Sindor Operations of India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22.
Sources told ANI that the current situation will not have any impact on the IPL plan and competition and will proceed as planned.
India's armed forces used special precision ammunition to destroy nine terrorist targets in Pakistan in Operation Sindor and destroyed the pok in a coordinated strike.
Sources indicated that Indian troops targeted four locations in Pakistan, including the main locations of Bahawalpur, Muridek and Silkot, while five other targets of Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POJK) were also successfully hit.
The Indian army, navy and air force jointly carried out operations to mobilize assets and troops.
Sources further revealed that the strikes on all nine targets were successful. Indian troops selected these locations to target senior Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) leaders, leaders involved in sponsoring terrorist activities in India.
This marks New Delhi's most important military operation in Pakistan's territory over the past five years.
It is worth noting that the cash-rich league faces several delays, with venue changes due to many circumstances throughout the long history. However, it was never completely cancelled, which made it a cricket festival that would entertain India and the entire world no matter what the situation was.
First in 2009, the Alliance was first organized in South Africa, as most security resources were busy with the Lok Sabha elections in 2009.
Then, in the 2014 season, the first part of the match between April 16 and April 30 was held in the UAE due to the Lok Sabha election that year. Starting from May 2, IPL operations have returned to India.
In 2020, IPL faced a delay instead of March due to the 1920 pandemic, which began in September 2020. The severe pandemic situation and the spread of infection meant the game was moved to the UAE again.
During 2021, the competition was held in India on April 9, with only four venues in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai. However, after the match day on May 2, the rest of the match was postponed again due to the common situation in India and moved to the UAE. It will then be held in the UAE from September to October 2021.
In 2022, the competition is indeed held in India, but there are only four venues, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
It was not until 2023 that IPL was taken away by India again.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, Gujarat Titans defeated the Mumbai Indians in the thriller at Wankhede Stadium.
Now, GT is at the top with 8 wins, three-pointers and 16 points, while MI is fourth with 7 wins and 5 losses, giving them 14 points. Their six-game winning streak was finally broken. Jill won the “Player of the Game” award.
